Dear Dr. Jon Hendricks
I am 33 years old and live in Chicago. I've been a fan since I was 18 years old. I've seen you with Annie Ross at the Orcheastra Hall and with the 4 brothers (Kurt Elling,Kevin Mahagonie, etc) at the Park West and at the Ravinia. Like you, I am a poet and in love with jazz music and vocalese.
I have a couple of questions that I've been wanting to ask for a long time.
Are you going to ever work with the Manhattan Transfer again? I once read in their web site that they may be doing a Vocalese II alblum with you. that was several years ago but I never saw anything else again about that. I really hope you can do more songs together. There best recordings are of songs that you wrote. And since I am a fan of theirs because of your work with them, I would love to see a new collaboration.
My other question is that I believe I read somewhere that you where writing an autobiography? IF you do, it would mean that the history of jazz would add another great treasure to its cofer. If that is the case when can I buy a copy.
